A legacy that inspires us
The name IRMA honours the pioneering and innovative spirit of Dr. Irma LeVasseur, who opened doors at a time when many were closed to her. In 1903, she became the first French-Canadian woman licensed to practise medicine in Quebec. Four years later, she co-founded Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal. In 1923, she also co-founded Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus in Quebec City.
Her journey reminds us that advancing care sometimes means daring to question established practices, share knowledge and create new possibilities. Her vision and courage inspire us today.

The expertise at the heart of Irma
Svani Beauséjour
Vice President of Sales at Biomed Pharma
Passionate about human relationships and business development, Svani Beauséjour supports the growth of Biomed Pharma, which he acquired with Hugues Gélinas in 2017. His ambition is to offer pharmacists support that goes beyond medication and addresses their everyday challenges. With IRMA, he helps grow this vision through training, tools and support for pharmacy teams.
Clara Scattolin, PharmD
Head of Professional Services and Patient Journey
A pharmacist and graduate of the Université de Montréal, Clara Scattolin also holds a degree in biopharmaceutical sciences and studied business administration at HEC Montréal. She is interested in advancing practice and facilitating access to care. Her experience in market access and drug evaluation combines a clinical perspective with an understanding of the sector’s challenges. At IRMA, she leads professional services development and turns pharmacy teams’ needs into practical training, tools and support.
Caroline Lacroix
Pharmacist
A pharmacist since 1993 and a graduate of the Université de Montréal, Caroline Lacroix owned a Familiprix pharmacy for 28 years. A pioneer in automated renewals and delegated container-content verification (DVCC), she has always sought to refocus pharmacists on high-value clinical activities. In response to the requirements of Law 67 and the growing demands on pharmacists, she provides pharmacies with practical support adapted to the realities they face.
David Roy-Lacasse
Technical representative and trainer
David Roy-Lacasse has 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field, including six years as a lead pharmacy technical assistant. His career has allowed him to develop strong expertise in pharmacy, operations management and patient support. He also has training as a licensed practical nurse and is a member of the OIIAQ, bringing a complementary perspective to health care. Known for his rigour, commitment and compassionate approach, he places great importance on quality of care, teamwork and patient well-being.
